5 Steps to Increasing Prospects for your Insurance Agency
InsuranceAgents.com
If you are new to the insurance industry, prospecting can be difficult. Ineffective ways of prospecting can cause time-wastage and decreased productivity. These 5 easy steps will make prospecting more efficient and increase your sales.
1. Get into prospecting mode. Set aside time every week just for prospecting, and don't let any distractions keep you from calling your prospects. You'll produce much better results if you dedicate your full time to just prospecting and not getting distracted by another phone call or meeting request. This task will be difficult at first but over time your dedicated prospect time will become highly efficient. The more calls you make is directly correlated to your number of sales.
2. Setup appointments. The sole purpose of the prospect phone call is to arrange an appointment. Avoid selling your products until you are able to meet your prospect in person. This allows you to get to know them better and earn their trust.
3. Appropriate timing. To maximize results, you'll need to call your prospects at the appropriate times. This means recognizing when your prospects are most likely to be available to talk, even though your calls will be very brief. Don't waste your prospecting minutes by calling people on the list that probably aren't available.
4. Know-it-all. Maximize you organization efforts by making notes of your prospects' contact information and storing follow-up times in a computer database. These notes will allow your conversations with prospects to be more personable and not all about business.
5. Stay focused. Set goals and stay on track. You will become more successful as you become more efficient and consistent at prospecting. Knowing where you want to go and realizing how far you've come will help you stay motivated to become more successful at prospecting.
In order to successfully turn prospects into clients, you must stay focused and consistent in your approach. This is the best way to increase productivity and to keep building your clientele, one prospect at a time.
Ask The Expert
Question: How do you direct natural search traffic to a web page?
Answer: The beginning point to driving new organic traffic, is keyword selection. This process starts by figuring out, if there is already natural search traffic activity for the page, and whether or not it is valid traffic. If the traffic is valid, the words currently generating traffic are researched using various tools, personal selection of synonymous terms, and the addition and/or removal of terms to create more simple and/or complex phrases.
Upon running this process several times, the most high quality terms/targets are selected. The page is then evaluated for various factors which are key indicators to Google as to a web page's target and/or supposed audience.
Upon updating these key contributing factors, building a large repertoire of external and internal links, and adding it to the web site's general site map, the page is monitored for effectiveness. Each target is monitored and the better the traffic from specific terms, the more the page should be tweaked to more specifically target the term and related terms.
As rankings for the term improve, so does natural search traffic. Upon achieving top 10 rankings, a heavy focus on a compelling Title & Description is put in to play, as it needs to engage the end user and insight them to click.
