Setting Up Your Agency's Blog

Your company's blog is your online home where you can post news and updates about your business. Much like a monthly newsletter, a blog is a place for where you can let clients know what's going on with your agency and give them information about what's new and what's available.

It also gives you a good opportunity to show off a little personality, which is never a bad thing when you're trying to differentiate yourself in the midst of a crowded marketplace.
Tips:

•Secure a domain name for your business immediately, whether you use it or not. This keeps competitors from using your name.

•Don't spread yourself too thin. If you have the resources to create a blog from the ground up, great, but if you don't there are plenty of places such as WordPress.com and Posterous where you can start a ready-made blog from a template.

•Write great, focused content about your agency and industry. The better the content, the faster your audience will grow.

•Make it easy to promote. Include buttons that allow users to link your posts on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. But don't clutter up the page too much; keep it relatively simple to use.
