Building Your Agencies Brand Online
Social media is becoming more and more prevalent in today's business world, and you can use it to your advantage to make your brand more well-known and well-liked. Here are some things you can do to help your agency online:
-Use the same name across platforms. Whether it's Facebook or Twitter or your agency's blog, always use the same name to identify yourself, whether it's the name of the agency or your own name.
-Stay focused. Decide early on what it is you're going to discuss on your blog or Facebook page -- maybe just your own business or possibly your industry as a whole -- and stick to that.
-Keep networking. If you make connections with other blogs, see if they might allow you to do a guest post. Forward along posts you like on Twitter. Respond to others' posts on Facebook.
-Use a logo. Incorporate your logo in your Twitter page, your Facebook fan page and on your blog.
-Keep an eye on what others are saying about you. You could set up a Google alert for your company name. Do searches on Facebook and Twitter as well. If people are complaining about you, respond by asking how you might be able to help.
-Add some personality to what you do. Make yourself the brand. Get beyond what many people find to be the dry details of the insurance business and let them get to know you as a person who cares. When your likable personality is linked with the brand, people will feel more of a connection to it.
